This policy explains what personal data Querek.net ("we", "us") collects when you use this website and our Minecraft server, why we collect it and what rights you have. We collect as little as we can.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is the Querek.net team. You can contact us about anything related to your data at contact@querek.net or by opening a ticket on our Discord server.
2. Data we collect
Website account. When you register we store your username, email address, a securely hashed password (we never see your real password), your role, the date you joined and your forum posts.
Minecraft server. When you play, the network stores your Minecraft UUID and name, game statistics (levels, coins, wins and similar), your rank, the time of your last login, the server you are on, punishments and any social media names you choose to add in game. Your IP address is processed by the server to connect you and to protect against cheating, bots and ban evasion.
Technical data. Our web server keeps short-term logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser) to keep the site secure and working.
3. Why we use it
- to run your account, the forum and the game (performing our service to you),
- to keep the network safe: anti-cheat, moderation, preventing abuse and spam (our legitimate interest),
- to show public statistics, leaderboards and player profiles (our legitimate interest - this is a normal part of a game network),
- to answer your support requests.
We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
4. What is public
Your Minecraft name, skin, rank, network level, coins, game statistics, last seen time and any social media names you added in game can appear on leaderboards and player profiles. Forum posts are visible to other forum users. Your email address is never shown publicly.
5. Cookies
We use one essential cookie, querek_sess, that keeps you logged in and protects forms against abuse. It is deleted when you close your browser. We do not use analytics, tracking or advertising cookies, so no cookie banner is needed.
6. Third parties
- Tebex processes all store payments as the official reseller. We receive your Minecraft name and the purchase - never your card details. See the Tebex privacy policy.
- mc-heads.net delivers player heads and skin renders shown on this site. Your browser loads these images from their servers, which means they can see your IP address.
- Discord is used for support tickets and our community. Discord's own privacy policy applies there.
- Our servers are hosted by a hosting provider in the European Union.
7. How long we keep data
Website account data is kept until you delete your account. Forum posts of deleted accounts stay visible but are no longer linked to your name. Game statistics are kept while the network is running. Web server logs are deleted automatically after about two weeks. Punishment records may be kept longer to prevent abuse.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing and to receive a copy of it. You can change your email and password and delete your website account yourself on the My account page. For anything else contact us at contact@querek.net. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in Poland: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office, UODO).
9. Children
If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before creating a website account. Purchases in the store by players under 18 require permission from a parent or guardian.
10. Security
Passwords are hashed with bcrypt, the site uses HTTPS and access to the database is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect - if you think your account was accessed by someone else, change your password and contact us.
11. Changes
We may update this policy when our services change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
